    - Apologies for cross posting -

    Dear SAP and practice community,

Following the success of last year's SAP-R, organized by the University of Zurich and Warwick Business School, we are pleased to invite you to this year's SAP-R workshop which will take place April 28th at Aston Business School. SAP-R workshops draw from the knowledge of the strategy as practice community and its friends to help authors deal with editors' and reviewers' comments. Authors usually find this process valuable and many have gone on to have their papers accepted. Indeed, we are pleased to report that both papers presented at last year's SAP-R have been accepted for publication by the Strategic Management Journal and Organization Science respectively; congratulations to Krista Pettit and Mary Crossan (2019), and Virpi Sorsa and Eero Vaara (2020) on their success!

We have an exciting SAP-R programme planned for this year. The workshop will open with a presentation by Davide Nicolini on revising papers for publication. As is customary, we will then have two "revise and resubmit' presentation/discussions to help authors address reviewer comments and develop their papers – see agenda for details. We will then have developmental roundtables to support earlier stage work e.g. individual projects, papers being prepared for submission, papers under review. When you register please indicate whether you would like to share a roundtable submission. Please also share this e-mail with any SAP or practice colleagues you feel might benefit from these sessions.

Please note, Robert Chia will deliver a talk at Aston before the SAP-R workshop. This will start at 10:30am and will focus on using a process approach to understand strategy practices and predispositions. When you register please indicate whether you would like to attend this pre-workshop talk - all are welcome.

To register for the SAP-R workshop use this linkhttps://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/93792336403

After the workshop (12-5pm) we plan to go for drinks and/or dinner. Please take this into consideration when arranging your travel itinerary.

COVID-19 is a developing situation and we are monitoring it closely and following University guidance. At the moment, we are continuing to plan for the event and hope to see you April.

    Until then all the best,

    Gary, Omid and Igor
