We are delighted to announce that the Strategic Management Division will once again sponsor a Mid-Career Consortium during the 2025 Annual Meeting of the Academy of Management. This event will take place on Sunday, July 27th in Copenhagen. (Please note that the timing is subject to AOM's scheduling approval and will be confirmed in Spring 2025.)

The Consortium is designed for STR faculty members who attained tenure on or before August 2024 and possess a minimum of five years of academic experience. It will include panel discussions featuring senior faculty members, as well as break-out and/or Q&A sessions, providing mid-career faculty members with the opportunity to interact with each other and with the panel of senior faculty. This interactive session aims to foster meaningful discussions about the opportunities and challenges faced by scholars making the transition from junior to senior roles. We will create an opportunity to share ideas and learn from each other in a friendly and open environment. Also, we will organize an optional social event to continue our discussions. Participants are encouraged to contribute questions or topics for discussion, along with a short bio for distribution before the session.

The following panelists will participate: Mary Benner (Minnesota, USA), Theresa Cho (SNU Business School, Korea), Juan Santaló (IE University, Spain), and Christine Shropshire (Arizona State U., USA). The 2025 STR Mid-Career Consortium will be co-chaired by Govert Vroom (IESE Business School, Spain) and Richard Whittington (Oxford University, UK). Please reach out to either or both of us for inquiries.

We look forward to your active participation and meaningful contributions to the Mid-Career Consortium!

Richard Whittington, Professor of Strategic Management, Oxford University (Richard.Whittington@sbs.ox.ac.uk)

Govert Vroom, Professor of Strategic Management, IESE (gvroom@iese.edu)
