    About This Opportunity 
    The Strategy & Entrepreneurship discipline at UQ Business School is recruiting multiple positions (teaching & research) in Strategy at either Lecturer (Level B), Senior Lecturer (Level C) or Associate Professor (Level D) (Assistant or Associate Professor equivalent levels).

    Applications are welcome from established and early career colleagues. Colleagues in the discipline investigate a broad range of topics at the nexus of strategy, organization, and innovation capabilities, such as strategy as practice, strategy process, strategic change, business model innovation, innovation strategy, entrepreneurial strategy.

    The successful candidate will: undertake research of high quality where they will: have a growing international research profile and seek competitive research grants; contribute to undergraduate and postgraduate teaching and supervision and further development of the School's programs; and perform administrative and other activities associated with the School.


    About the Discipline

    Our research and teaching in strategy covers several areas: strategy, innovation and sustainability. Our research strategy is driven by academics, who are investigating a broad range of topics at the nexus of strategy, organization, and innovation capabilities, such as strategy-as-practice, strategy process, strategic change, business model innovation, innovation strategy, entrepreneurial strategy. The discipline's research strength is reflected in the top-tier journals published by staff in the last five-years, which include publications in the Strategic Management Journal, Academy of Management Journal, Academy of Management Review, Administrative Science Quarterly, Human Relations, Journal of Business Venturing, Journal of Management Studies, Organization Science, Organization Science, Strategic Organization, MIT Sloan Management Review.

    Our research in strategy and innovation is supported through competitive Australian Research Council grants that our faculty have won. We also emphasize research impact through both the policy and advisory roles of our faculty and their ability to win significant industry-funded projects, for instance from the healthcare, insurance, and the resource sector. Recognition for research excellence extends to editorial roles. For instance, Professor Paula Jarzabkowski serves as editor for Strategic Organization. Associate Professor Paul Spee serves as senior editor for Organization Studies. Our faculty have wide ranging editorial board memberships at leading journals from Academy of Management Review, Entrepreneurship Theory and Practice, Innovation: Organization & Management, Long Range Planning, Organization Studies, Organizational Research Methods, Journal of Business Venturing.

    Strategy and innovation feature strongly in the recently launched Masters of Entrepreneurship and Innovation, in addition to as capstone courses across a range of degree programs, such as the Bachelor of Business Management, Master of Business and the prestigious MBA, which features in the Top 50 MBA programs globally ranked by The Economist.

    What We Can Offer 
    These are Full-time, 100% FTE Continuing positions at Academic Level B,  Academic Level C or Level D. We are looking to make multiple appointments in the areas of both strategy and entrepreneurship.

    Academic Level B

    The full-time equivalent base salary will be in the range  $101,533.66- 120,570.86 plus super of up to 17%. The total FTE package will be in the range $118,794 - $141,067.91 per annum.  

    ​Academic Level C

    The full-time equivalent base salary will be in the range $124,378.29 - $143,415.50  plus super of up to 17%. The total FTE package will be in the range  $145,523- $167,796.14  per annum. 

    Academic Level D 

    The full-time equivalent base salary will be in the range $149,761.25 - $164,991.59 plus super of up to 17%. The total FTE package will be in the range $175,220.66- $193,040.16  per annum. 

    The following flexible employment options may be available for this role .

    Part time/job share; some working from home; variable start or finish times; compressed hours; purchased leave; flex-time.
