    Dear SAP members,

The SAP leadership team has been approached by other members of the AoM community about requesting a formal statement from the AoM about the recent overturning of Roe v. Wade (see below). Many of us think it is a worthwhile initiative that we personally support and we would like to give you the opportunity to support it as well, if you wish to do so.

If you would like to support the initiative, please read the email below and click on the link. There is no obligation of course, so please also feel free to disregard this email.

    Warm wishes

    Katharina
    SAP IG Chair

Subject: Request for AOM related to ruling against Roe v Wade

Dear Division Chair and Division Chair-Elect of Strategizing Activities and Practices,

In response to the overturning of Roe v. Wade, several of us have collaborated to request the AOM for a formal statement against the ruling and that AoM not host annual conferences or chapter meetings in states where abortion is illegal or severely restricted.

We wanted to share this letter with division leadership, so that your committee knows this is being circulated and in case you want to sign on as individuals. I am including the link to the request here. If you would like to add your name to the signatories, you can enter your information directly on the google doc.

Please feel welcome to share this widely with your networks and division. (Personally, trying to strike a balance of spreading the letter and recognizing this list of names may be sensitive, I have not posted the link on public platforms like twitter and Linkedin, but I am sharing the link directly on email and facebook groups). We intend to submit the request by the end of the day EST on Friday, July 15th (which is a week later than we first announced we would submit it).

And, we welcome any feedback, edits, or suggestions in regards to the request or other ways we might respond, particularly as management scholars.

    Best regards,

    Elizabeth
