    Dear SAP members,

    This year, we have 5 positions open to join our executive and leadership team. This is a great opportunity to get more involved in the various activities of the SAP IG, to learn more about how SAP works and to collaborate with scholars in this field.

    • Representative-at-large (3-year term)

    The PDW Chair (5-year leadership track) shall:

    1. Serve for a term of one year (Aug 2023 - Aug 2024), then continue through the SAP leadership rotation for four years until August 2028 (see item 6 below).
    2. Arrange and administer annual workshops to be held immediately after or before the annual meeting according to SAP Interest Group and Academy of Management procedures assisted by a PDW Committee appointed by and reporting to the PDW Chair.
    3. Encourage program activities that involve development of SAP Interest Group members and collaboration with other Divisions, international scholars, and practitioners.

    The emphasis in the development of the PDW program is on presenting high quality activities that are aimed at both professional development and the creation of networking opportunities. This may be combined with collaboration with other Divisions and international scholars/practitioners

    1. Report to and co-ordinate with the Interest Group Program Chair.
    2. Perform other duties as assigned by the Chair, the Interest Group Program Chair or the Academy of Management PDW Chair or Program Chair.
    3. Prepare to advance to the position of Program Chair after one year of successful service as PDW Chair. Traditionally, members of the Executive Committee have advanced annually from PDW Chair, to Program Chair, to Chair-Elect, to Chair, to Past-Chair. Thus, appointment as PDW Chair implies a commitment to a 5-year term of service to the Interest Group.

    Elected representatives are expected to attend the AOM Annual Meeting in support of these duties.

     

    The SAP Secretary (3-year term) shall:

    1. Head of organizing social events (Friday dinner, Monday social, Meet & Greet, Drinks before Friday Dinner).
    2. Take minutes of the Interest Group meetings and Executive Committee meetings and report these minutes to Interest Group members.
    3. Perform other duties as may be assigned by the Chair or the Bylaws.

     

    The Membership Chair (3-year term) shall:

    1. Be responsible for the Interest Group's membership communications, including the Newsletter.
    2. Coordinate membership meetings.
    3. Be jointly responsible with the Chair for membership liaison and campaigns.
    4. Coordinate with the SAP Chair the membership and recruitment activities of Representatives–at-Large.
    5. Perform other duties as may be assigned by the Chair or the Bylaws.

     

    The SAP Data & Analytics Officer (3-year term) shall

    1. Create, maintain, and archive various SAP-related datasets, including:

    - Aggregate current membership overviews for the Business Meeting.

    - Individual-level past and current membership overviews for trend analyses.

    - Academy Annual Meeting program and participant information for program design and thematic analysis

    - Ad hoc analysis as required for the SAP strategy

    1. Manage the SAP Dropbox

    - Ensure relevant files are saved and up-to-date

    - Provide access to new officers

    1. Work with SAP Officers and volunteers to ensure SAP activities are GDPR-compliant

     

    The Representative-at-large (3-year term) shall:

    1. Support SAP's core activities (be part of the social events committee, membership committee, social media committee) 
    2. Support the organizing of the Meet and Greet, SAP Social and SAP Dinner events
    3. Perform other duties as may be assigned by the Chair or the Bylaws    
    4. Meet with the Executive Committee at least annually to consider policy and planning for the SAP Interest Group.

    Elected representatives are expected to attend the AOM Annual Meeting in support of these duties.
