Dear S-as-P colleagues, Now you’ve got those papers in to AoM and EGOS, and targeted at BAM, consider bringing them for further development to the SAP-R paper development day at Cass on Wednesday 26 February. We have a good group of participants signed up and can take a few more papers. If you have a paper with a revise and resubmit for a working paper that is close to submission - perhaps something you just sent off to the conferences - that you would like to have help with in a supportive environment, please let Rebecca Bednarek know by 27th January. Details below. Looking forward to seeing you and your papers in February. Paula Jarzabkowski, Rebecca Bednarek and the Cass SAP team. INVITATION You are invited to a Strategy as Practice Review Group (SAP-R) meeting, which will be hosted at Cass Business School, London (Bunhill Row campus). This will take place on the 26th February, 2014; 12:30-5:30 pm, followed by drinks for those who can attend. This SAP-R Meeting will follow the SAP Interest Group (AoM) Executive Meeting, also being held at Cass. SAP-R is a supportive and stimulating forum where scholars with a common interest in strategy- as-practice could come together to help authors develop their papers for publication and, in particular, address reviewer comments. It is not necessary to have a paper to attend. Those who attend regularly to give feedback to others have priority when they have a paper that is ready for feedback. In February the preliminary programme is as follows: A lunch at 12:30; refreshments during the afternoon will also be provided. Two papers under-review with journal feedback (R&R or reject received) to be presented to, and discussed by, the whole group. Developmental round-tables to discuss working papers that are close to journal submission. A session on a theoretical perspective pertinent to SaP scholars: Performativity: It’s uses and abuses for strategy-as-practice research. This will be run by Cass Faculty and experts on performativity, Laure Cabantous and Jean-Pascal Gond. 5.00 pm: Adjourn to a nearby bar for a drink If you have a suitable paper either under review for 2 above or a developmental paper for 3 above, please send details to Rebecca Bednarek <rebecca.bednarek.1@city.ac.uk> as soon as possible and by 27 January. Depending on the number of developmental papers we receive we will select papers that are most relevant to the strategy as practice theme and privilege those closest to submission. Please indicate your interest in attending at your earliest convenience, and before the 3 February to Rebecca Bednarek <rebecca.bednarek.1@city.ac.uk> to assist in planning for the event. All participants will be sent 3 papers (2 under review and one developmental) by 7 February. You will need to read them beforehand and be ready to offer constructive comments. There is no fee, but you will be responsible for your own travel Paula Jarzabkowski Professor of Strategic Management Cass Business School, City University London Marie Curie Fellow, Science & Technology Studies Cornell University Cell: +1 (607) 279-0272 UK Tel: +44 (0)20 8144 1667 Email: paj49@cornell.edu Email: P.Jarzabkowski@city.ac.uk Homepage: www.cass.city.ac.uk/experts/P.Jarzabkowski </rebecca.bednarek.1@city.ac.uk></rebecca.bednarek.1@city.ac.uk>
