Dear PhD students,
We are pleased to announce the PhD Workshop "Meet Up Workshop: International Networking with Top Management Scholars" at the University of Zurich from October 13 to 15, 2013.
The workshop is aimed at young scholars pursuing academic careers in the field of management. It brings together these scholars with top researchers through formal discussions and informal social interaction and networking. Prof. Dr. Steven W. Floyd and the top scholars he has selected will share their knowledge on management studies and their vast publication experience. Participating doctoral students are invited to present papers for development and publication preparation, or project ideas for feedback from the experienced scholars. The top scholars will discuss:
• “Hot topics” in managerial research,
• Getting published in top journals
• Responding to reviewers
• Managing an (international) academic career.
Steven W. Floyd is an internationally renowned scholar in the field of Management, Isenberg School of Management at the University of Massachusetts. Participating guest faculty include Catherine Maritan, Associate Professor of Management at the Whitman School of Management, Syracuse University, Thomas P. Moliterno, Assistant Professor of Management, Isenberg School of Management, University of Massachusetts, and Xavier Castañer, Assistant Professor at the University of Lausanne.
We invite you to submit full papers or an extended abstract and your CV to Katherine Caves (
