    The Institutional and the Strategy-as-Practice folks will meet to talk about how to combine these two perspectives to make groundbreaking theoretical and empirical contributions. Famous scholars (Lounsbury, Jarzabkowski, Jones, LeBaron, Reay, Seidl, Smets, Vaara, Whittington, Zilber) are going to gather in small tables with few participants in order for you to have a more personalized experience. Do not miss this PDW!

    The workshop consists in three parts: (1) presentations from Michael Lounsbury and Richard Whittington as keynote speakers; (2) five thematic round tables (see details below); (3) a panel discussion. Participants are asked to pre-register for the PDW and are asked to select and sign up for one thematic round table:

    (1) Institutional logics, discourses and strategy (Lounsbury and Vaara);

    (2) Meetings and field-configuring events in strategy formation (Seidl and Zilber);

    (3) Embedding strategy and institutions in materiality (Jarzabkowski and Jones);

    (4) Habituation and embodiment of practices in strategy formation (Reay and LeBaron);

    (5) Ontological and epistemological reflections in linking both perspectives (Smets and Whittington).

    The PDW is entitled "Bridging the Institutional and the Strategy-as-Practice Perspectives: Avenues for Future Research". It is scheduled to take place on Saturday, Aug 8 2015 from 10:15AM - 1:15PM, in the Pan Pacific Vancouver in Crystal Pavilion Ballroom C.

    If you are interested, please send an email to Evelyn Micelotta (micelott@ualberta.ca) immediately by specifying to which table you would like to participate.
