🚨 Are you studying, or interested in, how emotion can shape aspects of the strategy, innovation, or entrepreneurship process? If so, you should come to our PDW at AOM 2024 in Chicago!

    📆 Friday 9th August 2024

    ⏰ 0800-1100

    📍 Mayfair in Sheraton

🗣️ Gerard Hodgkinson, Mark Healey, Timo Vuori, Feng Liu, Paul Momtaz, Jean-Francois Harvey

Building on last year's successful PDW, we bring together experts who have studied and published on emotion in strategy, innovation and entrepreneurship in leading journals, to discuss the theoretical and methodological options that scholars have at their disposal.

Part 1️⃣ is open to all. Panellists will discuss their experiences using diverse approaches, such as appraisal theory and the affective circumplex model, as well as methods including surveys, coding facial expressions using artificial intelligence, and micro-ethnography.

Part 2️⃣ requires registration (details below). Each panellist will host a roundtable, in which you can gain in-depth, one-to-one feedback on a paper/idea. You will also receive feedback from other members of your roundtable, who will be engaged in the same area.

To apply for Part 2️⃣, please send one document containing the following information to christopher.golding@manchester.ac.uk by 15th July. Applicants will be informed by 22nd July whether they have been successful or not.

    • Cover statement (name, institution, role)
    • Extended abstract/research proposal (max. 2 pages A4)
    • The one big question or thing that you want help with/feedback on (max. 250 words)

We look forward to seeing you in Chicago!
