The Telfer School of Management invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position in artificial intelligence and organizations, at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor commencing on July 1st, 2026.
Title of Position: Professor in artificial intelligence and organizations at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor. The rank is commensurate with experience.
Duties: Academic staff functions include, in varying proportions: teaching, research, and academic service activities.
a) Teaching activities include: i) strengthening quality teaching activities; ii) having excellent pedagogical practices and teaching-related scholarly activities; iii) providing an active contribution to increase our graduate programs and interdisciplinarity and iv) supervising graduate students.
b) Scholarly activities: Applications are invited from candidates with a proven strong capacity in securing competitive research funding, and who can maintain lofty standards of excellence with an active research agenda and publications in top-tier journals in the field of artificial intelligence and organizations. The ideal candidate explores AI both as: a phenomenon-examining its transformative effects on management, organizations, and expertise; and as an instrument of inquiry-applying machine learning and other computational methods to advance management research.
c) Graduate student supervision: Supervise students in artificial intelligence and organizations or in related topics.
d) Academic service activities: The candidate will be an active member of either the Management or Business Analytics and Information Systems section. Administrative duties will be agreed upon with the section and the Dean.
Preferences: Preference will be given to candidates whose research and teaching are at the intersection of Technology and Organizing, who address the transformative role of AI in organizations and who advance theoretical and practical perspectives on AI integration, digital strategy, analytics, and management.
Terms: New tenure-track position.
Wage: The salary scale for an assistant professor starts at $99,377 (as of May 1, 2025).

Skills requirements:
- Education: Ph.D. in Management, Information Systems, Organization Studies, Strategy, Business Analytics, Data Science, or a related discipline.
- Work experience: A high-potential research agenda that aligns with the School's vision, as demonstrated by publications in high-quality and high-impact peer-reviewed journals in related areas. Applicants are expected to demonstrate a track record of success in attracting competitive research funding and an active engagement in the academic community.
- Language: English and/or French. At the time of tenure, a passive knowledge of the second official language is required. The ability to teach in both languages is an asset.
- Other: Experience in interdisciplinary and applied research is desirable. Teaching excellence and a record of pedagogical innovation are also desirable.
