We are excited to share an extension of the Deadline for the upcoming Organization Studies Summer Workshop (OSSW) focusing on "The Future of Strategizing and Organizing as Practice: Extensions and Connections". The OSSW takes place May 22-24,2025 on the beautiful island #Crete (Minoa Palace, close to Chania airport).

Thanks to high demand and requests we could extend the deadline for submission until December 16th. You can submit about 2-pages of your work via: www.os-workshop.com

PROGRAMM HIGHLIGHTS
- Keynotes: Hari Tsoukas (topic to tbc) and Martha Feldman (Lived experience, action possibilities and practice as strategy)
- Opening: Richard Whittington (25 years of SAP research: reflecting back and looking forward)
- Closing panel on future directions of SAP: Robert Chia, Michael Lounsbury and Tammar B. Zilber
- Topic leaders: Davide Nicolini (Attention in SAP), Feng Liu (Emotions in SAP), Tor Hernes (Time and temporality in SAP) and Juliane Reinecke (tbc, Grand Challenges and SAP)

THEME OF THE WORKSHOP
In Strategy-as-Practice research strategizing and organizing are "treated not as two discrete practices, but as inextricably linked together, a single duality rather than separable building blocks" (Whittington & Melin, 2003). We encourage you to go beyond conventional thinking in strategy and organization research by expanding the scope of SOAP. We suggest four promising avenues for future expansion.

(1) Investigating societal and critical challenges
(2) Exploring new forms of strategizing and organizing
(3) Discovering new geographic contexts
(4) Developing connections and dialogues with other research streams

Our aim for this OSSW and the connected Special Issue Call for Papers in Organization Studies is to inspire exemplary studies that showcase how SOAP can be used to explore new and challenging issues that the world is facing. These studies will delve into contemporary phenomena, intersect with other research streams, and harness innovative methodologies.

The deadline to submit a 2-page abstract for participation is December 16th 2024.
