Fast Tracking Academic-Stakeholder Engagement
The University agenda of engagement and collaboration with stakeholders is changing - yet only a limited number of staff are engaged with stakeholders and proactively leveraging these linkages. To address this gap, I am working on an edited book on Fast Tracking Academic-Stakeholder engagement that focuses on how academics can adapt to and leverage the new opportunities arising. The edited book focuses on the academic as the primary driver of the external relationship and explores the skills and capabilities needed to pro-actively develop engagement. It focuses on "best practice" in methods of broadening successful academic-business engagement on a major scale. The book structure compirses 3 parts as follows:
Part 1 The Changing University/Getting proactive engagement on the Academic Agenda
Part2 The Engaged Academic
Part3 The Engaged University
So far, the response has been overwhelming confirming that the issue of proactive engagement by academics needs addressing. I have space for one more chapter in each part of the book and would welcome proposals. The timescale is submission by 30 December 2023 with publication in 2024. Each chapter should be 3000-3500 words.
