    The Strategy, International Business and Entrepreneurship (SIBE) Group and The Brett Centre for Entrepreneurship at the University of Liverpool Management School are pleased to invite you to attend a free, 1 day, in-person Research Workshop titled "Publication Journeys from 'idea' development to 'theory' crafting in leading management journals".     Ann Langley is Emerita professor of management at HEC Montréal, Canada, and distinguished research environment professor at Warwick Business School, UK. Until recently, she served as the Deputy Editor of the Academy of Management Journal. Ann received her Ph.D. at HEC Montréal. Her research draws on qualitative methods and deals with strategic management processes and practices in pluralistic settings, with a particular interest in organizational change, decision making, leadership, identity, and professional practice. Ann's work has appeared in Academy of Management Annals, Academy of Management Journal, Academy of Management Review, Administrative Science Quarterly, Human Relations, Journal of Management Studies, Organization Science, Organization Studies, and Strategic Management Journal, among others. She is a fellow of the Academy of Management and honorary member of the European Group for Organizational Studies. Ann is outgoing coeditor of Strategic Organization and coeditor with Haridimos Tsoukas of the book series Perspectives on Process Organization Studies, published by Oxford University Press. She was co-guest editor of a special issue of Academy of Management Journal on "Process studies of change in organizations and management" in 2013. She has also served on several other editorial boards, including Academy of Management Discoveries, Academy of Management Journal, Administrative Science Quarterly, Journal of Management Inquiry, and Organization Science.

    Christian Tröster is a Professor of Leadership and Organizational Behavior at the Kühne Logistics University (KLU) in Hamburg, Germany. He is an Associate Editor at the Academy of Management Journal. Chris uses experiments and surveys to study topics in organizational behavior, such as leadership, social networks, and teams. His work has been published in Academy of Management Journal, Journal of Applied Psychology, Journal of International Business Studies, Organizational Behavior and Human Decision Processes, etc. Chris received his bachelor's and master's degree in sociology from the University of Groningen (NL) and his Ph.D. from the Rotterdam School of Management (Erasmus University Rotterdam) (NL). He has been a visiting scholar at several universities, such as Singapore Management University (SMU), the University of British Columbia (UBC), and Victoria University of Wellington (NZ). He currently serves on the editorial board of The Leadership Quarterly, in addition to serving as associate editor of Academy of Management Journal.

    Raghu Garud is Professor of Management and Organization and the the Michael J. Farrell Chair in Innovation and Entrepreneurship, Pennsylvania State University. Before joining the Smeal College, Raghu Garud was at the Stern School of Business, New York University. He has been a Fellow of the Sydney Sussex College, the University of Cambridge, and has been a visiting scholar at the Copenhagen Business School, the University of Bologna, the University of St. Gallen, Helsinki University of Technology and the Singapore Management University. Raghu earned a Ph.D. degree in Strategic Management and Organization from the University of Minnesota. His research explores the emergence of novelty and its adoption. Specifically, he is interested in understanding how new ideas emerge, are valued, and become institutionalized. He has written extensively on these topics, offering concepts such as path creation, economies of substitution, technology entrepreneurship, bricolage and the socio-cognitive bases for technology emergence. His work was recognized by the Technology and Innovation Management Division of the Academy of Management as its distinguished scholar for 2020. Currently, Raghu acts as the co-editor of Organization Studies and an Associate Editor of Management Science.
